Vodka, Vodka – 4 days in the hole

Bridges. Build bridges. Burn bridges. Stand on bridges. Watch the rivers of great cities flow.

Vodka, vodka. Chilled, clear and oily. Raw fish, smoked fish. Her oily smokey fingers. Smell me, she laughs descending over the edge of the bed to fill our glasses.

I squeeze the lime into the palms of her uplifted hands. The juice drips through her fingers before she massages it into her skin.

I kidnapped, I abducted, I snatched her from the booze aisle of a supermarket. I drove her deep into the moods. She laughingly told me I was a fucking madman. Her husband would have alerted the police. Her children would be in tears and the baby sorely missing her nipple. Drive faster, drive faster she howled.

In the night she woke me. I’m going for a pee. Let’s fuck when I get back Albert. The tables were turning against me. The bottles were empty and my scrotum tight. Four days in the hole and I’m the prisoner now. I struggled as her latent passions surfaced hour after hour. I diminished. Exhausted. No longer able to make the journey upstream

Bridges. Build bridges. Burn bridges. Stand on bridges. Watch the rivers flow into the sea, the sea of infertility. Days of arid impotence.
